Čo vieme o porušovaní reprodukčných a sexuálnych práv počas pandémie

Rešerš odborných štúdií a výskumu

Už na začiatku prvej vlny pandémie poukazovali feministické a ženské organizácie, aktivistky aj akademičky na to, že opatrenia, ktoré majú brániť šíreniu koronavírusu, môžu mať negatívny vplyv na dodržiavanie reprodukčných a sexuálnych práv a na dostupnosť starostlivosti v oblasti reprodukčného a sexuálneho zdravia dievčat a žien.

V apríli 2020 vydala Medzinárodná federácia pre plánované rodičovstvo (IPPF) v spolupráci s Fórom Európskeho parlamentu pre sexuálne a reprodukčné práva (EPF) správu, ktorá vychádza z dvoch prieskumov o dostupnosti služieb reprodukčného a sexuálneho zdravia. Podľa tejto správy sa v dôsledku protipandemickej situácie obmedzil prístup dievčat a žien k základnej zdravotnej starostlivosti v tejto oblasti. Problematický bol prístup k bezpečným interrupciám, spoľahlivej antikoncepcii, testovaniu na HIV a iné sexuálne prenosné choroby či k dôstojnej predpôrodnej a pôrodnej starostlivosti. Najviac zasiahnuté boli najmenej privilegované skupiny dievčat a žien, ktorých sexuálne a reprodukčné práva neboli napĺňané ani pred pandémiou.

Pandemická kríza trvá už druhý rok. Ako sa počas nej darí zachovávať prístup dievčat a žien k reprodukčným právam? Prečo je sexuálne a reprodukčné zdravie otázkou ľudských práv? V akých rôznych oblastiach je potrebné dbať na špecifickú pozíciu dievčat a žien, predovšetkým tých, ktoré čelia viacnásobnému znevýhodneniu? A čo všetko dnes vieme o dostupnosti služieb v oblasti reprodukčného a sexuálneho zdravia počas pandémie COVID-19?
